PE and Sport Premium Funding

The PE and sport premium is government funding, designed to help primary schools improve the quality of the PE and sport activities they offer their pupils.  It was introduced in 2013 with the aim of encouraging more people to play sport safely from a young age, and help them keep playing sport throughout their life, no matter what their economic or social background.

Schools receive PE and sport premium funding based on the number of pupils in years 1 to 6; those with 17 or more pupils on roll receive £8,000 and an additional payment of £5 per pupil.
